Why “Twenty Eight”?

I was twenty-eight years old when I decided to pursue coffee full time. At the time, I was working as a barista at a specialty shop in Denver, Colorado while I navigated applications for nursing school.

The name Twenty Eight Coffee is a solid reminder that it’s never too late to do what you actually want to do, instead of trying to force something or do what you think you’re supposed to do.

The goal one day is to have our own brick and mortar shop supported by our roastery. But as a new family, a coffee cart makes the most sense to launch our small business. Our roastery is up and running to support our cold brew production, and we are stoked to feature our favourite roasters from across the country for pour overs and espresso.
